1 lb Lil' Brass Head Mallet - Short Handle
- Solid Brass, 1lb head
- Short handle
- Comfortable grip
- Lettering on the handle may be imperfect and will scrape off, but will not alter the functionality
This is the first hammer ever to be designed specifically for metal stamping. Its scaled down ergonomic handle makes the hammer easy to handle and ensures force and accuracy. The 1 lb. brass head is designed to prevent double impressions and protects the metal stamps so they'll last longer.
Because your hammer will show wear after even one use, we cannot accept returns on this item (unless the hammer is otherwise faulty).
If you are having troubles with stamping, this is the hammerfor you. It works especially well with the design stamps. Try standing up and give it one (or a few) strong whack with this hammer, and you will be lookin' good!
The head of this hammer will get a bit dinged up as you stamp with it. That is ok, it will still function just fine. The 'give' or slight softness of the face of the mallet is what allows for an even blow, no matter where you are hitting the stamp against the face of the hammer. This is what makes these brass head mallets different from other hammers, and perfect for stamping.
If you experience flaking from your mallet, don’t worry about it. Your mallet is tough! These are warrior wounds showing what a tough stamper you really are! We recommend you wear safety goggles or protective eye wear when hammering or using other tools.
I'd be totally lost without my brass hammer! The hammer has very little bounce and gives a good heavy blow each and every time. The brass does flake off and dent on the face with use but this is what is meant to happen! Once you go brass you never go back ;)
WOW I have been using a 1/2 pound shorty hammer, and put off buying a brass hammer. but i pulled the trigger and got this one. OMW totally worth it, I have to use a whole lot less pressure and with way less bounce, gives a good heavy blow each and every time. Once you go brass you never go back ;)
