5 minute Double Epoxy is the adhesive of choice for gluing glass, metal, wood...just about anything!
Some people have difficulty in getting their epoxy to cure; the mixture never sets up and result is a sticky mess. The secret to successful epoxy use is MEASURING and MIXING! Follow these simple steps and your epoxy should come out right every time:
- Squeeze out an equal amount from both tubes onto a disposable plastic baggie.
- Mix vigorously for 1 minute using a wooden mixing stick (like a Popsicle stick or a Q-tip with the fuzzy end cut off.)
- Let the epoxy sit for 2 more minutes. It will begin to set up and will stay where you put it, rather than being so runny. Use a toothpick to place the epoxy where needed.
- Let the epoxied piece sit undisturbed for 24 hours to cure. Resist the temptation to move the piece as this will weaken the join.
I use 5 minute epoxy all the time! It's the only glue that will work for me.
