ImpressArt Campfire Metal Design Stamp, 6mm
- Design measures: 4mm wide by 6mm high.
- Made from 3/8" square heat-treated tool steel.
- Oil-free plated finish designed to protect against rust.
Design Stamps are a bit tricky. I highly recommend you practice on some cheap metal before diving into your Sterling Silver or Gold Filled. Click here to purchase a piece of sheet to practice on.
For best results with Design Stamps, make sure there is NO padding under your Bench Block with the exception of a Sandbag, make sure you are working on a stable table, and use a hammer which weighs at least 16 ounces. We recommed a Brass Head Mallet. Feel free to hit the stamp more than once, but hold the stamp steady, making sure you don't shift at all between hits. The more confident you are with the hammer and the strength behind it, the better your impression will be.

I absolutely LOVE t his little fire!! It is the perfect size to go with some of my trees without making it look like I have a forest fire going on! :)
This little fire is going to be a player in quite a few of my 'scenes' that I like to create for pendants. I want to create camping scenes involving the tent stamp, the left facing truck stamp, the small camper stamp, the canoe stamp, the wave stamp to create a beach motif, a background with fir trees for a forest, deer for the wildlife aspect, an owl as another forest creature. A dog near the tent, a round sun or a moon behind the trees (I haven't gotten the half moon stamp yet). A small mountain peak behind the trees. Maybe a cloud in the sky. These components of a "scene" make me feel like a real cartoonist - even though I could never draw these items if my life depended on it. So fun to get these things and create with them. And really more than just scenes, but also important events that people relate to in their own lives. Very cool stuff!
Perfect for my camping scenes!
Over the years InpressArt stamps have definitely improved. The impressions are slightly duller than some of the higher quality, more expensive alternatives, but Impress Art stamps are a great value and good quality for the price!
