Design Stamps are a bit tricky. I highly recommend you practice on some cheap metal before diving into your Sterling Silver or Gold Filled. Click here to purchase a piece of sheet to practice on.
For best results with Design Stamps, make sure there is NO padding under your Bench Block with the exception of a Sandbag, make sure you are working on a stable table, and use a hammer which weighs at least 16 ounces. We recommed a Brass Head Mallet. Feel free to hit the stamp more than once, but hold the stamp steady, making sure you don't shift at all between hits. The more confident you are with the hammer and the strength behind it, the better your impression will be.

I really like this side view butterfly. It's unusual. I'm already searching through all my flower stamps, looking for the best ones to have this butterfly perch on!
I LOVE this butterfly stamp. The way the butterfly is angled adds a lot of interest when it is stamped in combination with flowers. This stamp leaves a clean impression. I do use a 2lbs hammer and the tilt and tap method.
Love the way this butterfly is fluttering about.
I LOVE this stamp! It has so much detail and will be so pretty next to my other butterflies.
The side view butterfly is beautiful. Stamps easily with a good wack from a 2lb brass mallet.
as soon as I got these beauty's I tried them. BUtterflY nut I thought I would have more trouble stamping these but was really easy, they go great with so many things.
Totally agree with others. The side view is what makes it special. Looks like it's in flight. A little hard to stamp, but my brass hammer is in BAD shape.
Love this butterfly stamp and how it looks different from the others. I just ordered the 2pound hammer to see if it will leave a better impression than my 1pound hammer, can't wait to try it!
Love this unique floating butterfly in so many of my designs. Using a 2lb hammer easily captures all the details on the wings with a few whacks.
I absolutely love this stamp.
