Design Stamps are a bit tricky. I highly recommend you practice on some cheap metal before diving into your Sterling Silver or Gold Filled. Click here to purchase a piece of copper sheet for practicing.
For best results with Design Stamps, make sure there is NO padding under your Bench Block, make sure you are working on a stable table, and use a hammer which weighs at least 16 ounces. We recommed a Brass Head Mallet. Feel free to hit the stamp more than once, but hold the stamp steady, making sure you don't shift at all between hits. The more confident you are with the hammer and the strength behind it, the better your impression will be.

Stamps beautifully! Very nice at an affordable price!
GORGEOUS! I love the mermaids and am so happy to have this one. I have used her to create and under water scene with the tropical fish you offer. She could definitely blow bubbles using the degree stamp or as I have used her... blowing heart bubbles. The impression this stamp makes is gorgeous. I used tilt and tap and gave it good, hard whacks. I got a beautiful impression the first time I used this stamp. I am just thrilled!
Love this stamp! Another great one from Beaducation!
The detail on this stamp is beautiful! She is large so you need to use with softer metals or be sure to anneal your copper, brass or sterling to get the best results.
This is my favorite mermaid stamp. Makes a really clean impression. Lots of detail! Very nice!
Love this stamp! Had no problem stamping the entire impression with one strong tap. Clear impression and great size. Thanks, Beaducation!
Love, love, love! Took me a couple tries using the tilt and tap method but finally go to it! She is so beautiful. You will love her just like I do.
I'm so in love with mermaids. I'll be stamping these everywhere
What's not to love?! You'll need a bit of practice, but I find one good whack with a 1lb hammer, as long as your stamp is flat, does the trick!
nice stamp. only down side is i cant get a good impression in the center. tried several methods but only get good impressions on the edges
This mermaid is great. It feels like the perfect amount of detail, while still being able to actually stamp it. Tilt and tap method is a must, but a could practices and it was perfect. I do use sterling, so I feel this would be an easy stamp for aluminum.
I love how cute this mermaid is! I had no problem stamping with my 2lb brass hammer.
