Design Stamps are a bit tricky. I highly recommend you practice on some cheap metal before diving into your Sterling Silver or Gold Filled. Click here to purchase a piece of copper sheet for practicing.
For best results with Design Stamps, make sure there is NO padding under your Bench Block, make sure you are working on a stable table, and use a hammer which weighs at least 16 ounces. We recommed a Brass Head Mallet. Feel free to hit the stamp more than once, but hold the stamp steady, making sure you don't shift at all between hits. The more confident you are with the hammer and the strength behind it, the better your impression will be.

Love this little paisley stamp! It requires the tilt and tap method of stamping to get consistently good impressions with this stamp but it results in lovely and detailed paisleys. Would be nice if it came in graduated sizes...
This is a super tiny stamp. I agree with the other reviewer that I wish it came in different sizes, but it's cute. I love to take stamps like this and hammer them all over a piece for texturing.
A bit smaller than expected but still a cute stamp to use in designs! As another review suggests the tap and tilt method is very useful!
This is sm stamp and works great when making mandalas. Practice stamping this one so you get the hang of how to get a nice clean impression.
I have noticed with this stamp that it works better with harder metal. I stamped some soft metal with it and it just looked like a blob. Maybe the tilt and tap would have worked on it better. Will have to retry.
Paisley is one of my favorite designs and its so versatile. It works well with abstract or mandala designs. Definitely try it out on scrap pieces of metal before using on your final product. Its small, you shouldn't bang on this one too hard.
It is a great stamp for mandalas, especially because of it’s size and shape. Would also love it in different sizes! I often use it on aluminum which is very soft, but with a bit of practice it works also very well on soft metal. Thank you!
