I brought this thing hoping it would be better than my screw down punch.. and I really don't care for it. I am always pinching myself or marring the metal. However on the plus side it punches larger holes.
I so love this BABY! if you have plans to use the variety of hole sizes this is the tool for you. I own a screw down punch and no longer use it. To avoid marring metal slowly open after punching metal,I do this and no damage to the metal. I like this tool so much and have used it numerous times. this is simple to use i really didnt have to keep looking at instructions its pretty easy to use. and its way smaller than i thought itd be! love that it comes in its own case.
I love, love, love my new power punch pliers! Now I can easily add crystal snap rivets to my pieces. I use 18 gauge aluminum to make prototypes of my silver designs, and these pliers punch through it like paper. This is a well made product and worth every penny if you need to punch larger holes in thicker gauge metal.
I'm so pleased with the power punch! I weighed up the pro's and cons of having a number of single size hand punches against the one multi size power punch, and the power punch just has so much going for it; not only do you get the choice of SEVEN hole sizes, but there's a reach of 1.75",loads of strength in the tool and the holes are perfectly clean.
As Cathy McGowan would say:"I'll give it five!"
I love this punch. It does take some getting used to to handle it efficiently. I use it for jewelry blanks but also for punching larger pieces of metal for artwork. It's great that it can in the middle of the larger pieces of metal.
Not sure what I ever did without this punch set.....SO fantastic to have in my toolbox!
This set caught my eye and visually created a mass march of things I can punch and reach where I want the hole to go. I gave this only 4 stars because the description stated that, "Each punch and die is individually marked with size for ease and accuracy". I can barely see the size on the actual punch and die. It is well inscribed in the container where they sit, yet taking them out with others and leaving them on my workbench will cause me some extra time to sort out. This tool is a good size and easy to manage...much better than the two size punch.
this punch is a bit heavy for me but I will get used to it. It will take some practice to manage it. I like that it punches larger holes and goes through 18ga aluminum with ease. I gave it a 4 only because of the weight.
Great tool!!! Love the case!

This is one great tool! I love it so much more than my screw down punch. It is faster and makes a cleaner hole. I do have a little trouble lining everything up... so I punch a small divot with my 3/32 period stamp and then just line up the little punch into that.
I bought this tool because of the numerous hole sizes you can make will it. At first I found it big and heavy to use. But today I watched the Facebook live video on it where Lisa stuck it in a table vice and jacked up the handle with a block of wood. This sure makes a big difference. I am very happy with this punch today.
This tool is AMAZING. If you have been debating on getting just stop and get it!! This thing is a beast and is worth the small investment. I had to break a pair of hole punch pliers and a screw down punch before getting this. And I’m so glad I got it!
Love this tool! Punches holes like butter. Never again will I use a screw down hole punch
Well worth the cost. Just to be able to truly visualize where the hole is going to be is great. I like all the different size holes that you can make with one tool. It is easy to change to different size punches.
Just got this punch and it works great. Super easy to use. I still use another punch for really small holes. ????
I originally didn't think that justifying the cost for this one vs. a craft store one would be worth it. I used a craft store one for over a year and HATED it every time I had to use it. Finally fed up with it, I bought this one from Beaducation. SO GLAD I DID!!! It's night and day difference! Punches holes through metal like BUTTER!!!
This tool is amazing. Incredibly easy to use with perfect results every time. Only wish I had bought one earlier, it was well worth every penny. The only hole punch you will ever need!
I bought this Power Punch because the 1/4 inch punch broke from my disk cutter and that was the size I needed to make the tops of the end caps I was fabricating. The 1/4 inch for the Power Punch works perfectly and even leaves a divot for punching a hole. Now I see there is a hole punch attachment that will make it even easier!
Love that I can punch bigger holes, specially for ornament making. It does mar the metal when stamping but I've filed down the rough edges and added stamping tape to the areas to keep it from marring, this has made a huge difference!
I really like this punch! As other people have stated, it is a bit heavy so it can be a little tricky to punch small pieces where a lot of precision is needed. Someone else wrote that you could secure it in a table vise - I will try that. I solved the marring problem by punching through a piece of card board and have this piece stay on the puncher. When you have punched your hole in your metal, the card board will protect the metal from marring. It was an easy fix.
I have hand problems and have had trouble using this. I'll have to try putting it in a table vise.
