For cutting solder wire.
To cut perfectly sized lengths of wire for soldering, insert the wire into the hole on the side of the pliers so it lays all the way across the gap in the head. You will be able to see the wire through the opening.
Then simply clip and tilt the tool and your perfect length of wire will fall out.
After cutting your solder wire, make sure and keep each type separate. Use a small ziplock baggie or little box to keep them sorted. The last thing that you want to do is mix your easy, medium and hard solders!
