Byzantine Sunburst Necklace
Tools And Materials
I love this necklace and made it when I had only made two byzantine bracelets. This video was wonderful. Colin explained each step thoroughly and even told where you might have a little trouble getting a jump ring in but she encouraged you to keep at it and I was able to make it perfectly. I made it as a necklace like she showed but decided later to take off most of the chain, add a clasp and made it into a bracelet which I absolutely adore. Bravo Colin. I look forward to more of her videos on chain maille.
This is so beautiful! I plan to make it as a Christmas gift with the earrings. Thank you so much for sharing this! The video is so easy to follow although I imagine my limited skill as a beginner will make the project a challenge. I plan to do a couple other chainmail projects before I begin this just to build skill level some.
I made this with bronze jump rings with red seed beads and a red faceted bead as a headband for a friend. She was thrilled and so was I. It was my first piece of finished chain mail jewelry! The tutorial was excellent. This piece will be a staple in my arsenal. Headbands, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hand flowers; the possibilities are endless.
Thank you so much for this free class. I have made 2 of these necklaces, I love them so much. Thank you Colin for such a great video and necklace you are the bomb.
I built some skill since July when I first watched this tutorial. I am thrilled with how my first attempt has turned out. Thank you Colin! You are a wonderful teacher as well as a talented craftswoman.
