Introduction to Fine Silver Fusing
Make your own fun and funky chain and components to add new elements to your jewelry designs. Kriss teaches the basics of fusing and shows simple techniques that can be done at home safely and quickly. It's instant gratification without the use of solder or chemicals! Learn how to set up a safe workstation, cut flush jump rings, fuse, texture and shape to make chain and components, and preview an intermediate clasp design. Fire up your torches and let's start fusing.

German Chain Nose Plier With Ergonomic Handle - $28.00 - Kriss uses an old plier to pick up hot rings. You can use a gripping tweezer instead.

Tronex Razor Flush Cutter - Long Handle, #7223 - $70.04 - Kriss prefers the Tronex Razor Flush Cutter for cutting fine silver wire for fusing.

Butane gas, triple-refined is best. Purchase at smoke or cigar shops.

Cool (Quench) Cup with Gripping Tweezers - $14.95 - For quenching metal.

Large Wrap and Tap Plier - $28.60 - You can also use a dowel or hard round object (like a white board pen) that is approx. 13mm in diameter.

Excellent Introduction to Fusing
What a great video! I learned so much and now know the difference between working with fine silver compared to sterling. Kriss has a very nice, soft voice that contributes to her easy to watch and understand teaching. I'll be looking for more of her lessons.

Excellent tutorial, Kriss is a wonderful teacher showing easy step-by-step instructions on fusing fine silver. Understanding the properties of fine silver & sterling silver was a key factor & her trouble shooting tips are spot-on. She gave me the confidence to move forward into fusing & reminds us to be patient beginning this new technique.
