Snowflake Ornament & Gift Tag DIY

There's nothing chilly about this warm and thoughtful metal stamped snowflake ornament. Whether you're naming family members, pets, winter vacations or celebrating family traditions, this DIY is love at frost sight! It can also double as a gift tag if you are gifting it with another item.

Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. It's a good idea to make sure you have room for your letters, numbers and/or any designs you may be adding to the blank.

Even experienced stampers will plan out a design before stamping it out. We have a perfect solution that is both low in cost and very helpful in planning for space, etc. Try our Aluminum Foil Practice Stamp Sheets.

  2. Scroll down the page a bit and you'll find Related Online Classes with Similar Techniques below. These are classes we've specifically chosen to help you make this project. If you're new to metal stamping, here is our Beginners Metal Stamping Checklist.

  3. Stamp your piece and use any color(s) you like to fill in the stamped impressions. We used a black Industrial Sharpie Marker.

  4. Decide on where you're going to punch a hole and mark it with a sharpie on the blank. We've punched our hole right on the tip of one of the snowflake points so the ornament will hang nicely on the tree.

  5. Add some ribbon or create a perfect wire spiral with Lisa in this free tutorial so you can hang it as an ornament.
