Rings and Things

You will want tons of these adjustable rings in your arsenal. Be prepared for every occasion. A great gift for your BFF! Perfect for your lil' niece, aunt, daughter, mom, grandma...EVERYONE. Basically, what we are trying to say is that this is a must have for all.

Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. For your basic ring shown on the right, we added a few of our favorite charms with jump rings. That's it! Nothing but the beauty of simplicity.

  2. If you want to add a little challenge, you can add a solderable as shown on the ring with the brass flower. Since the ring is so thin, this can be a tricky solder. I suggest you have a good amount of soldering practice under your belt. Watch all of the safety videos as a reminder, and make sure your set up is safe as well.

  3. To ensure your ring remains adjustable, solder your blank to only one wire of the adjustable ring. REMEMBER the ring is a thin gauge so you will have to be EXTRA careful not to use too high of a flame and not to leave the flame concentrated in one place too long. The solder will flow quick! Once it does-remove the flame. At this point your ring will be soft as butter. While on a ring mandrel use a plastic mallet to work harden your ring. Take a look at step 3 of Aisha's Stacked Rings class for more detailed instructions.

  4. I like to polish the ring while still on the mandrel. It makes it easier to handle.

  5. Add your charm and stamped blank.
