When polished, these brass blanks look much like the color of gold. Brass can tarnish very easily, so we suggest using
Renaissance Wax to help protect the pieces as well as storing your brass with
Anti-tarnish Tabs. *NOTE*** These pendants
arrive from the manufacturer with a clear coating on the
surface This process prevents tarnishing. You can antique your stamping
with an Industrial Sharpie Marker. If you are using Liver of Sulfur or
Silver Black to oxidize your impressions you will need to remove the
coating first. You can wipe the surface with a cotton ball dipped in
nail polish remover. This removes the
protective coating on the pendant. Now you can oxidize with Liver of
Sulfur or Silver Black.
