You can braid leather and chain any old way, BUT making your own stamped button from a circle blank....now THAT'S Beaducation Style!
We used our Single Clad Blank to create a button for the closure on our bracelet. The Single Clad Blanks are thicker so they have a nice weight to them - perfect for a closure.

- Beginning Stamping Checklist
- Star Design Stamp - 1/16" (1.6mm)
- Screw Down Hole Punch
- Hypo Cement - Before pulling your knots closed add a drop of Hypo Cement.
- Xuron Tapered Flush Cutter - Use to cut Chain and Leather ends.
Materials
- Single Clad 5/8" (16mm) Circle, 18g - Using the Screw Down Hole Punch create two holes like a button.
- Leather Cord, Round 1.5mm, Red 32.8 ft - We used about 2 feet. As you weave the Leather thru the chain it shortens the length. You're better off having extra so you have enough play to create your knots.
- Leather Cord, Round 1.5mm, Metallic Copper 32.8 ft - We used about 2 1/2 ft of this Leather to weave, knot, and create a loop for your button clasp.
- Antique Copper, Large Oval Cable Chain, 9mm x 5mm, by the Inch - 7 inches were used as a base for the Leather to weave in and out of each link.
